Gallery of Favorite Things

I'm pleased to share some of my favorite things in my home.  I love Victorian decor, dolls, Christmas ornaments, and making Victorian lamps.  I'm a collector of beautiful things and my house is filled with all things I love to look at, touch, and enjoy.  Hope you have fun on this visual tour...

I love Christmas and keep my Victorian tree decorated and lit all year long.  It makes me feel good and I add ornaments whenever I make anything new or find a treasure in a favorite gift shop that I cannot live without!

Below are some Victorian ornaments that I've made over the years...

Victorian hats are a must for those tea parties with the girls and sharing those special moments with friends and family.

Christmas day with our tea hats....left to right--Beverly, friend Marion, my mother, Judy (daughter-in-law) and Emily (granddaughter)2007.
My favorite below doll with her christening gown, full of lace and ribbons.  Isn't she pretty?
My Victorian lamps are also a passion of mine and I love making them as gifts.  They make wonderful wedding and shower presents.  Here are a few of my favorites that are in my private collection.
The teapot lamp above is just right for a tea party with favorite friends!
I collect dollhouse miniatures and this is one of my favorites--a sunroom with a wicker loveseat, and flowers.  Below is one of my favorite lamps.

Tiffany style Victorian lamps are also a must in our home as well as my handmade afghans (see below).

I've tried my hand at painting too and its another passion of mine... This picture is called Dove Cove.

Favorite pictures?  Here is one of my husband with our grandchildren, Emily and Bryan.  We were babysitting and it was the only way Grampa Dahl could make them stop fussing--taking them for a ride on his lawn mower!

And last but not least, my Just So friends, most of which I've known for over 50 years!  This last picture is one we took in October, 2010 when I was diagnosed with breast cancer and that day I was told by my surgeon the cancer was localized and I'd be fine...it was certainly a "thumbs up" kind of day!  All my girls came to see me that weekend and it was perfect!  What would we ever do without the women in our lives?
